All wild bird species, including their nest are protected by law (more info), disturbance of kind should be avoided where possible, but this is not always possible and tree removal and vegetation clearance is quite often required during the nesting season, between March and September each year.

We offer a variety of services to both forestry and arboriculture to ensure no laws are broken, these range from a simple pre-cut nest check the day before or on the morning of work using a variety of methods including thermal imaging, to having and ecological clerk of works present at all times through to completion of the cut.

For larger sites including those containing European protected species we can conduct the necessary surveys, apply for the relevant licences, design and clearance strategy to ensure licence (link to protected species page) conditions are met and oversea or manage the whole project.
