An Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) plays an important role on construction sites and if not carried out competently can lead to delays to projects and risk of prosecution.
The remedial and construction phase can be a tricky stage to navigate, but our experienced Ecologists make sure the ecological mitigation measures are adhered to whilst ensuring the timeline of the scheme remains on track.
Experience in the construction environment, excellent communication skills, problem solving and having a pragmatic approach are key attributes of a competent ECoW. ECoW are often presented with issues on a daily basis, so being able to resolve a matter quickly and cost effectively is the priority for our clients.
We are regularly involved the following ECoW tasks:
⦁ Attending site meetings
⦁ Providing Toolbox Talks
⦁ Installation or removal of protected species mitigation fencing
